Islamabad: The National Assembly on Tuesday passed the Finance Bill, 2026, for the fiscal year 2026–27, approving the federal budget framework under the government’s fiscal plan.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the bill in the House, which includes various government-backed amendments as part of the broader budgetary package.
The Finance Bill 2026-27 outlines a total federal outlay of PKR 18.77 trillion, forming the basis of the government’s revenue and expenditure plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

Earlier, the federal budget for FY2026-27 was presented with a focus on providing relief to the salaried class, offering tax incentives to exporters, and supporting the real estate and construction sectors. The government has projected improved economic activity and set a growth target of around 4%.
Revenue targets for the next fiscal year have also been outlined, reflecting expectations of increased tax collection compared to revised estimates for the current year.
Following passage in the National Assembly, the session was adjourned till Wednesday morning.
