Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has decided to allot low-cost houses under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project to the employees of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
According to RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi, houses will be allotted to the employees whose basic pay scale (BPS) ranges from one to 15. Naeem-ul-Haq, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, recently gave his approval for this project.
The civic agency previously gave directions to develop affordable residential projects for low-wage employees hailing from Rawalpindi district.
Construction work on this project is expected to start during the fiscal year 2019-20. It will be developed under a public-private partnership agreement. It is pertinent to mention that RDA has also decided to develop an agriculture farm scheme.
