Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Sunday said that the government was pursuing a comprehensive strategy which aims to ensure equal growth for all regions, a news source reported.
Under this growth strategy, the executive would allocate proportional resources in the upcoming budget for the development of every city and town in the province.
He said that previous government did not prioritise national interests, as they spent funds on the development of only a few cities. He added that such policies sidelined common citizens.
The chief minister said that he was closely monitoring the issues himself, and was working to ensure that backward areas in the province get on par with the developed ones.
